There were at least 2 Jungmeisters used in the film Aces High. G-AYSJ, owned by a true gentleman, exceptional pilot, author and friend, James Gilbert and U-99. The very accomplished and well known aerobatic/ air show pilot Tony Bianchi flew the flight sequences. I learned of this history when I acquired U-99 in 1984 from David Berry of London, England.
During the filming of Aces High U-99 was based at High Wycombe Airpark.
I was privileged to care for U-99 from 1984 to 1996; this Jungmeister is currently owned by Tony "Taff" Smith.
