In recent years there has been a steady stream of Búcker aircraft making their way from the USA to Europe. John Christian of St Louis has bucked that trend, however. OE-APY, which is technically a Tatra T-131PA, is a beautifully constructed and equipped Jungmann which was proudly owned by Artur Dusterhoft for many years. A frequent visitor to European fly-ins and airshows somehow John was able to persuade Artur to part with APY and the aircraft made its way by container to St Louis.

and now flying over the Missouri river near St. Louis. Andrew King has started flying off the FAA phase 1 requirement and reports that APY flys "basically hands off."

If Andrew looks a little cold it is because it is November and he has been flying T 5000 feet!

Congratulations John. The aircraft is going to be a sensation in the Creve Coeur area next year :)
